Empawa Africa is on the quest to find new acts again!
Africa’s Premier platform for Independent artistes as they refer to themselves, have indeed created enough space and opportunities for up-and-coming artistes across the world.
An initiative founded by Nigeria’s Singer and Songwriter, Mr Eazi, Empawa Africa has been considered as one of the most helpful platforms that has created chances for new artistes across Africa.
The first edition of Empawa Africa which was dubbed “Empawa 100” recruited 100 up-and-coming artistes across Africa, shot music videos for them and selected the best ten which went ahead to the next higher level. Artistes like J. Derobie from Ghana and Joe Boy from Nigeria are raking in huge sums of money now from music, all by the grace of Empawa Africa.
Empawa Africa Collaborated with betting company, BETWAY to make this initiative possible.
The second edition of the initiative, which has been named ‘Empawa30’ will fund 30 artistes who will be given $10,000 each. 10 out of them will come straight from Nigeria and will be funded by YouTube Music. Individuals can be part of the initiative by sending videos of themselves singing or raping or doing any genre of music via Instagram.
